📦 Routing SKUs to Ecomflow

Rerouting SKUs or market locations in Shopify generally involves updating your products' inventory locations and fulfillment preferences. Here's how you can do it step-by-step:

1. Update product location for an SKU

To reroute inventory for a specific SKU to a different market location, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Shopify admin.
  2. Go to products:
    • Navigate to Products from the Shopify admin dashboard.
  3. Find the SKU:
    • Search for the product by its SKU or name in the search bar.
  4. Edit inventory locations:
    • Open the product page.
    • Scroll down to the Inventory section.
    • Ensure the product is stocked in the desired location:
    • If the location isn't listed, click Add a location and assign the inventory there.
    • Adjust the stock levels for each location as needed.
  5. Save Changes:
    • Click Save to confirm the updates.

2. Set fulfillment priorities for locations

To control which locations fulfill orders first:

  1. Go to settings:
In your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings > Locations.
  2. Manage fulfillment priority
Under Fulfillment priority, drag and reorder the list of locations.
Shopify will fulfill orders starting from the highest priority location.
  3. Save Changes:
Click Save to apply the updated fulfillment rules.

3. Market-specific routing for SKUs

To make SKUs available only in specific markets:

  1. Set market availability:
Go to Settings > Markets. Select the market you want to configure. Adjust product availability by enabling or disabling specific products for that market.
  2. Edit product visibility:
    • For each product, go to the Product Page > Availability.
    • Ensure the product is available in the correct market(s).

4. Use Shopify apps for advanced routing

  1. For complex routing needs (such as market-specific SKUs or conditional routing), consider these apps:
    • Multi-Location Inventory
    • Stocky (for Shopify POS)
    • Third-party fulfillment or inventory management systems like ShipBob, ShipStation, or TradeGecko.

5. Bulk edit SKUs and locations (optional)

To update multiple SKUs or locations at once:

  1. Export products:
Go to Products > Export to download a CSV file of all products.
  2. Edit the CSV:
Update the inventory quantities and locations for each SKU in the CSV file.
  3. Re-import the CSV:
Go to Products > Import and upload the updated CSV file.

6. Custom API Solution

For automated rerouting based on specific conditions:

  1. Use Shopify's Admin API or GraphQL API.
  2. Update inventory levels or fulfillment preferences programmatically for specific SKUs and locations.
